Norwegian Resource Centre for Arts and Health
We work to strengthen recruitment into care professions by promoting dignity, sustainable use of resources, and increased recognition of the sector. We connect research, education, and practice to create a holistic approach to the field, and we collaborate closely with other centers of expertise and the voluntary sector to expand knowledge and engagement.
Through our work, we aim to improve the quality of care services and make careers in care more attractive.

ABC for Good Mental Health
The public health campaign ABC for Good Mental Health aims to increase health literacy in the population. With three simple steps, you can strengthen your own and others’ mental health:
- Do something active
- Do something together
- Do something meaningful
The ABC framework is a research-based initiative to promote and strengthen mental health across the population. It is a health-promoting and positive framework that the competence center recommends for use in projects.
Guides have been developed for use in workplaces, schools, and volunteer organizations.

What is Music-based care?
Music- Based Care is a resource-oriented method that systematically uses music, singing, and movement within health and care services. Staff integrate simple, tailored interventions into daily care routines and activitites. The aim is to foster trust, effective communication, meaningful activity, and a positive working environment.
The method and tools are grounded in practical experience and multiple research fields within music and health. This includes individualized music by Gerdner, person-centreed care by Kitwood, and doctoral research by Myskja.
